iPhone HEIC to JPG
Updated 19 October 2026
Since iOS 11, many iPhones save HEIC to save space. Share to Windows, email, or older apps — and you often need JPG.
What is HEIC?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) stores high-quality photos in less space than JPEG. Great on Apple devices; less universal elsewhere.
Convert without another app
- Open HeicLocal in any modern browser.
- Drop HEICs already on your computer (AirDrop, cable, or a folder).
- Download the JPG and send it where JPG is expected.
Optional iPhone setting
- Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible makes new shots JPG — old HEIC libraries still need a converter.
- Prefer privacy? Use a no-upload tool instead of sending originals to a cloud converter.
